Everyone in the movie drinks wine with meals, and there's some cigarette smoking. A man reports the crime to the police, and then viewers see a lump of fur in the tall grass, which could be the dog's body, while the man looks on. There's also lots of talk about how truffle-hunting dogs are targeted to eliminate the competition, and one dog is poisoned. release the words "f-k" (two uses), "goddamn," "ass," "pissed off," and "mother of God" are printed onscreen. Most of the dialogue is in Italian, with English subtitles for the U.S. There's no narration, so it provides more of an impression than hard information, but it's both enthralling and informative. Parents need to know that The Truffle Hunters is a remarkable documentary about those who seek out rare and expensive truffles in Piedmont, Italy - and the cutthroat truffle business elsewhere.
